Attorney caught between a Rock and hard place in Los Angeles
Professional comedian/clown Chris Rock took the witness stand recently in
Los Angeles and claimed that he had hired indicted Hollywood private investigator and celebrity attorney Tony Pellicano to investigate a claim from a model that he was the daddy her child.
The star of comedic movies such as ‘The Longest Yard’ and ‘Lethal Weapon Part 4″ entered the quiet Los Angeles courthouse and very quickly triggered drew the judge’s anger during the swearing in process.
Apparently, the comedian answered “yup” to the routine question of whether he would tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Obviously, the judge preciding over this mess felt his reply was somewhat disrespectful, and told him so.
When asked on under oath whether or not he realized that Pellicano was engaged in various criminal activities, he said something to the effect of “I relied on what my lawyer told me.” By the way if you are in need of an excellent los angeles criminal defense attorney then by all means take a look at the law offices of Jeffery Rubenstein.
They are among the best los angeles criminal defense attorney firms around and they can help with identity theft, record expungement, dui cases and even probation violations……
A Los Angeles district attorney on the case has stated that Pellicano took his attorney andinvestigator-for-the-celebrities act just a bit too far, going as far as bribing the Los Angeles police department as well as telephone firm workers to gain important data which could be used later on in various legal battles.
He is charged with running a criminal operation which employed illegal wiretaps to destroy his client’s legal opponents. There have been a number of bizarre twists and turns which have occured as of late. These incidents have been strange
even by the high Holly-weird bar. For example, In a recorded telephone conversation that recently showed up on the world wide web which was reportedly to be between the PI and the comedic actor several years ago, 2 individuals who sound like Rock and Pellicano could be heard talking about his accuser in very blunt, even degrading language.
A short bit of this conversation was played in the courthouse, and it appears to contradict Rock’s sworn statements that he was not aware that his attorney was employing such criminal methods to obtain data about Rock’s accuser.
